About Michael John Loveall
Michael John Loveall was the son of Jack and Patricia Loveall, who inspired the creation of the Loveall Foundation for Children.
Michael passed away suddenly on Jan. 5 at the age of 47. He was a kind, gentle and compassionate man, known for his supremely dry sense of humor.
He is greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Michael was a veteran of the supermarket industry and a 26-year member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. Throughout his career, he worked at Alpha Beta, Lucky, Albertsons and Save Mart stores.
During the race in 2012, Ellen Anreder ran with a picture of Michael (left), tucked over her heart.
At the end of the race, she took it out and gave the perspiration-soaked photograph to Michael’s older brother, Jacques Loveall, the chairman of the Loveall Foundation for Children.
